Color in the “Look Behind the Moon” Tradition

In the “Look Behind the Moon” tradition, colors constitute a code.
Gold and silver mean money.
Blue stands for business and career and often takes on the meanings of financial success, wealth, and money, too.
Yellow means jealousy.
Orange means energy.
Brown means “going away”; its principal use is to separate people in unhealthy relationships or to destroy addictions.
Black is never used, for it has very low energy and attracts negativity.
White is neutral; it usually is without meaning, although in some circumstances it may stand for innocence. Also, there is a use for white then healing using the petals of geraniums, for then white stands in for blue, connoting wealth.
Pink stands for affection and caring; it may be used between any persons.
Red, on the other hand, means passion and is only to be used with married couples.
Green is magical, and any shade will do, from darkest to palest, from emerald to turquoise. It serves for all beneficent purposes, but its strongest association is with healing.
Purple in any shade, from light lavender to the deepest royal purple, attracts good souls and has for ages been considered holy. It is used only with the highest, most refined intent in the “Look Behind the Moon” tradition.
Here are a few ways that having meanings associated with colors will affect the everyday activities of a practitioner in the “Look Behind the Moon” Tradition.
The unhealthy and unhelpful nature of black influences such a healer’s choices and behavior. He or she will avoid writing in black ink whenever possible. If it is required and unavoidable to do so, the healer will invariably ask that no unwelcome consequences follow.
A healer will also avoid wearing black clothing, certainly not against the skin. A black suit, dress, or jacket may have to be worn on occasion, but the healer will neutralize the black by wearing another color, such as green, pink, or purple.
It is much the same with brown: a “Look Behind the Moon” practitioner will avoid wearing brown. If for some reason brown has to be worn, then that color will be neutralized by a color with positive, healthy connotations: again, green, pink, purple are good choices.
It is unfortunate that so much everyday business wear is black or brown. Think of men’s shoes, for example. However, the neutralizing color does not have to be displayed outwardly, although there may be some freedom to wear ties or socks or shirts in the neutralizing color; one can have on underwear or a colored ribbon (silk or cotton) tied around the waist, out of sight but still an effective counterbalance to the visible black, gray, or brown.

Here is a short but in formative interview I did with Nina about past lives and how she works with her clients.

Q: Nina, welcome back. We are going to talk about fears today, fears which may have their roots in events which happened in a previous life, and about how these fears may be overcome or even erased. Nina, you carry on an old spiritual tradition which you call “Look Behind the Moon”. Can you tell us what your tradition has to say about fears and past lives?

A: Rhonda, thank you for inviting me to be interviewed again for your website. You have a lot of experience with the use of hypnosis and regression to take a person back to a prior life where they may find out the origin of a fear they have in their present life. As a practitioner of my tradition, I approach the problem in a different order.

First, having found the person’s soul using their birth name and birth date, I follow the soul back in time from life to life. Much that I see, in this way, relates to the person’s present life. For instance, if the person has given me information that allows me to identify the soul of a person with whom they are involved somehow in this life, it is very likely that that other soul will show up in one or more of the person’s past lives. A boss in this life may have been a stepfather in an earlier life. A grandmother may have been a mother. Almost any combination you can think of is possible, except that people who have a person’s welfare at heart now almost inevitably felt the same way in prior lives, and people who harm a person now probably will turn up in a past life causing harm.

Some of this harm from a past life leaves scars — I guess you could call them that — on the soul, and in the present life that damage may show up as vulnerabilities — gaps in a person’s aura, or weaknesses in certain organs — or as fears.

Q: Can you give us some examples?

A: A woman who came to me some years ago said she was afraid of flames and fire. I looked at her past lives and found that she had been burned alive — executed — in a town plaza.

There was another woman who could not bring herself to cross a bridge and could barely tolerate riding in a car or any moving vehicle. This constrained her life terribly, as you might imagine.

I found out that she had been pushed off a swinging bridge that went from one side of a very deep, steep-sided chasm to the other. As she fell into this chasm, she saw the rock walls go by faster and faster. Both fears came from that death.

Oh, there have been so many. But it is really one of the best uses for past life information to relieve a person of their fears.

Q: How do you help the person let go of a fear, though? Do you tell them what you have seen, or do you get them to re-experience the event that caused the fear?

A: I do both. I will tell them something about their past lives, as much as I think will not upset them. I will also tell a person about what caused their fear. Then, though, I will ask them to go back to the event and see that they do not have to be afraid of it anymore.

Q: How do you do that? Do you use techniques for hypnosis and regression?

A: I don’t know if that’s what you would call it or not.

I tell the person to sit comfortably with their eyes closed. Then, I tell them to breathe in very deeply using their diaphragm. I tell them to push their stomach out, like a balloon.

Then, after they have held that breath for three seconds or so, I tell them to blow all the air out through their mouth and to pull in their stomach so far that it touches their backbone and they feel discomfort.

We do that several times, maybe more.

I ask them if they see any colors. Most people will see something: swirls of red, some shapes, stars that come and go.

I ask them to watch the shapes and colors.

I ask them if they see anything else. The woman who was afraid of fire, for example, said she saw an open space with trees, surrounded by buildings. It went something like this:

“Go closer to the open space. What do you see now?”

“I see men preparing to light a big fire.”

“What are they going to do with the fire?”

“They are going to burn someone.”

“Who are they going to burn?”

“Me.”

“That happened in the past. The fire cannot touch you now. The men are all gone. Do you feel afraid of that fire?

“No.

“And you don’t have to be afraid of other fires now, do you?”"No.”

That’s what this woman saw and what we said, or close to it. I don’t know if you’d call that hypnosis and regression. It’s just a way my nanny got me to see things.

I wish I could do it to myself. I don’t like sharp edges or pointed knives, and I sometimes wonder if I was cut or tortured in another life, because I have always had that dislike.

Q: Have you found that people believe that they have lived before and that what happened then can affect their present life?

A: I don’t try to convince anybody. If they would like to read a book about it, if they prefer to get their information that way, I recommend that they read Dr. Weiss’ “Many Lives, Many Masters”. There’s a man who found out that this was the most effective way to help some people, and he was willing to give up his conventional practice and work with people and their past lives, instead.

Q: How many cases of fears with their causes in past lives have you encountered, do you suppose?

A: Oh, I don’t like to use numbers, but I can say that if I see a hundred people who have fears, then over eighty of those will be due to past life traumas. Incidentally, a great many of the people with whom one has more than a passing relationship are people one has had a relationship for good or for bad with in a past life. I’d say more than nine in ten, but again, I don’t like to use numbers.

Q: Well, Nina, thank you for talking with us today. And while our techniques are completely different I can appreciate that you are dedicated to helping others over come what is not working in their lives. I hope you will be able to talk with us again soon. You are a fascinating woman. Please visit to her website for more information about Nina! www.lookbehindthemoon.com

A: Thank you, too, Rhonda. I would be happy to explore some other subjects with you. Maybe we could look into past lives some more, or perhaps your readers would like us to talk about using colors or doing candle work.

Until next time, Take Care!
