ANXIETY
Two
forms of anxiety are: .Static
&.Free Floating
Static
Anxiety
This form of
anxiety is related to the fear of success. It is always there and does not come
or go. There is always a logical reason for the anxiety .
Sometimes
the client can't explain a logical cause. This is because it is not always real.
A lot of expectation is involved.
Free
Floating Anxiety
This form of
anxiety is related to the phobic process. It is intermittent. The client will be
worried and fearful for no apparent reason. They are overly sensitive which in
turn leads to hypersuggestibility .
Treatment
With
anxieties, use the same approach as with fears and phobias. In other words,
treat static anxiety in the same way as a fear and free floating as a phobia.
The use of a progressive relaxation into
hypnosis and then systematic desensitization or circle therapy is very effective
in the treatment of anxiety.
